Products  PEG THIOL/DISULFIDE
The thiol group is a strong nucleophile and is used in conjugation reactions. The reaction with the maleimide is frequently used for coupling chemistry. A growing interest is seen in the specific binding of thiols to gold surfaces, thereby forming self assembled monolayers (SAMs). Due to the high reactivity of the thiol group, we also offer compounds as disulfides. They show a similar reactivity towards gold surfaces, but are otherwise not reactive. 
In order to improve SAM stability we have inititated a program for providing PEG alkane thiol derivatives. Please inquire for mercaptoundecanoic acid products that would meet your needs.
